Eligible students
include PhD students funded by Provost’s, Annenberg, Taiwan and Rose Hills
Foundation Fellowships who have passed departmental screening or completed 24
units in their USC PhD program. Students funded by the Graduate School’s various
Endowed and Dissertation Completion Fellowships are also eligible to apply.
Fellows may receive
one travel grant from the Graduate School during their time at USC. The award
process is competitive. The grant may be used to cover travel six months prior
to, or six months after the date of application. For example, a fellow
submitting in February may use the funds for travel between August 2012 and July
2013.
Fellows will complete
an on-line application and will be asked to collect signatures from their
faculty advisor, department chair, and dean or dean’s designate, affirming that
they are making good progress toward the PhD and that the specific travel
request will serve their academic goals. The application and form for the
signatures will be available at https://grad.usc.edu/TravelAward
starting on Monday January 28, 2013. The deadline for fellows to complete the
spring application is Friday, February 1, 2013 at 12 noon.
If you have any
questions please feel free to contact Kate or myself at gradfllw@usc.edu.
All the best,
