NATIONAL AERONAUTICS AND SPACE ADMINISTRATION (NASA), HARRIETT G.
JENKINS PREDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

Targeted Fields
Life Sciences. Physical Sciences. School of Engineering. NASA-related
science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines.

Open To
Prospective/Current Graduate Students. Students Working on Master's
Thesis. Students Working on Doctoral Dissertation.

Citizenship
Open only to U.S. citizens. Including residents of Puerto Rico, Virgin
Islands, and Guam.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be a member of an underrepresented group in STEM, which
includes women, ethnic minorities and persons with
disabilities.GApplicants must either be within the first 3 years of a
graduate program at an accredited, U.S. university OR be in the process
of applying to an accredited STEM graduate program. Must have a minimum
GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. Once the fellowship is awarded, recipients
cannot participate in any other federally funded fellowship or
scholarship program.

Stipend
Stipend of $18,000 for Master's fellows and $24,000 for Ph.D. fellows.
Additional support for tuition and travel up to $8,500.

Program Description
The Harriett G. Jenkins Pre-doctoral Fellowship Program provides up to
20 fellowships yearly to full-time underrepresented graduate students in
science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
Students are selected for fellowships that include financial support and
a 10-week, hands on research experience at a NASA Center or the Jet
Propulsion Laboratory. Fellowship offers financial support for up to 3
years.
