The
Council of Graduate Schools has recently announced the availability of a
dissertation award for candidates who have completed or will complete their
doctoral degree between July 1, 2011 and June 30, 2013. Please feel free
to circulate this announcement to students in the biological/life sciences and
humanities.
USC
may nominate one person from each field. If you have candidates who may be
interested, please have them submit the following to the graduate school via
email (gradfllw@usc.edu) by Friday,
July 12, 2013:
1.
An
abstract (not to exceed 10 pages) of the dissertation.
2.
A
brief CV
3.
The
names of three referees. One should be the nominee's dissertation supervisor,
another a member of the nominee's dissertation committee, the third may be the
nominee's choice.
A
faculty task force will select two candidates and the graduate school will then
work with the selected students to complete the full application for the
Council of Graduate Schools.
